Aiyima T9 Pro – Is It Better Than The Original T9 Model?

Earlier this year, I reviewed the Aiyima T9, a small class D amplifier, made in China which retails for just $129. The small unit produced a pretty significant sound, but it was riddled with a number of annoying quirks during operation. There is now an Aiyima T9 Pro model released and I want to review that model by comparing it to the original version to see what they fixed and if there are any lingering issues.

Let’s first talk about some of the issues Aiyima addressed with the new Pro model.

Pioneer SX-980 – Mammoth Sound From A Sizeable Receiver

Due to rising prices, I haven’t purchased much vintage gear lately. I’ve been pretty happy knowing I own a Marantz 2270 receiver along with a McIntosh MC 2505 amplifier. And yet, in a moment of weakness, here I am, now the proud owner of a Pioneer SX-980 receiver.

The Pioneer SX-980 was released in 1978, almost fifty years ago, as a moderately upgraded version to their previous model, the SX-950.

My local record store posted this unit for sale, at what I thought was a price too good to pass on. Let’s highlight some of the receiver’s features next.

Fosi Audio TB10D – A Tiny Amp With Massive Sound

After reading my review of their BT20A amplifier, Fosi Audio reached out and asked if I also wanted to review their new amplifier, the Fosi Audio TB10D. I jumped at the chance to receive a free piece of audio gear to review and said yes.

In an effort to be fully transparent, Fosi Audio sent this amp to me at no cost, but did not pay me for this review, nor consult with me before posting. Please note, some links in this article are affiliate links and I receive a small commission on sales which I use to further invest in this blog.

If, after reading, you would like the purchase the TB10D, you can do so directly from Fosi Audio here.

Let’s first discuss the features of this little amp and then I want to do a comparison with the BT20A in order to help you decide which is best for your setup.

Denon DCD-900NE Review – Is This The Best CD Player Of This Year?

This year, I have fallen back in love with my CD collection and have even started buying new CDs again. This has led me on a hunt to find the best affordable new CD players on the market, which includes this Denon DCD-900NE review.

For years, I’ve had my eye on the Denon DCD-600NE CD player but then I noticed Denon released a new CD player, the DCD-900NE.

I couldn’t find many reviews on the 900NE when I purchased one and after a few weeks of listening, I wanted to share my thoughts on the player here.

Fosi BT20A Review – A Budget Amp With A Budget Sound

Have you been shopping for a cheap amplifier and been tempted to purchase the Fosi BT20A for just $80, but not sure if it will work well with your stereo set up or sound well enough to enjoy your music?

NOTE: Click here if you are interested in my review of the new BT20A Pro.

Are you someone who has been listening to hifi products for many years and have been tempted to buy this little amp in order to hear how it sounds compared to your more expensive gear?

Well, I’ve spent the last month listening to this amp and have really wrestled with how to present this review as I think this amp might work for some people and others might find it rather boring.

In this article, I want to quickly review the specs of this amp and tell you about some of the pros and cons of owning one. Then I’ll explain to you my thoughts on the overall sound of the unit and I’ll also explain how I found Fosi Audio’s slogan of “Hifi Made Fun” kind of ironic.

Let’s get started by looking at the specs on the Fosi BT20A next…
